Blue Eye Samurai is an adult animated series set in 17th-century Japan during the Edo period. It follows Mizu, a half-Japanese, half-white onna-musha (female warrior) with distinctive blue eyes, who embarks on a quest for vengeance against four white men, one of whom is her father, who illegally remained in Japan after the Tokugawa shogunate closed its borders. The series delves into themes of identity, discrimination, and justice.
